We ordered the Special Andhra Veg Carrier Meal from Nandhana Palace Kammanahalli. As usual, the Zomato rep delivered our order before the expected time of arrival. According to Nandhana Palace, the meal is enough to feed 3 people easily. But I would say it’s more than enough for 4 people.
Nandhana Palace Veg Carrier Meal
If your group consists of four or even five members, you can enjoy the goodness of the Andhra Vegetarian Meal. Browse your Swiggy or Zomato App and find if Nadhana Palace is listed near to your home, if yes, go for it.
The Special Andhra Veg Carrier Meal consists of a lot of white rice, adequate sambar, Pappu, dry vegetable, curd, rasam, payasam, papad, ghee, podi (gun powder), pickle, and chutney.
When you order on Zomato, you will get an option for add on’s such as a banana leaf, extra rasam, sambar, etc. Have a look into it and mark your requirements accordingly. Add ons will cost you more.
The packing was great. All the items neatly packed in a container and placed in a branded box.
The Branded Box
The meal was delicious and adequate for the four of us. They could have packed the pudi (powder) more as it was too little. However, they were generous with the white rice though. The sambar and Pappu were very flavorful and distinct in taste.
The carrier meal cost us Rs. 512/- inclusive of GST, delivery charges, and all. We were four so it cost Rs. 128/- per head on average and that worked out for us.
Nandhana Palace is also popular for its Andhra Style Non-Vegetarian food. If you eat meat, then you should try their spiciest Nati Style Mutton Biryani and the Nellore Chicken Biryani.
It’s a lockdown in Bengaluru and the restaurants are open for takeaway orders only. When the situation becomes normal, the Nandhana Kammanahalli will open for dine-in. I have been to this restaurant before but let me quote what other Google reviewers have to say about this restaurant.
- Awesome food, spicy and tasty as always with typical Andhra Flavours. Food lovers will definitely like it.
- A must visit place, you should try the Shatriya Chicken here.
- It’s not completely Andhra style and I don’t feel I am in a Andhra restaurant. The taste is good but the prices are too high. I liked the ambience but I feel not suitable for regular visit. Its good for occasional dining.
- The food is great but there’s no mini meal for the kids. We had to order full meal for kids that resulted in waste of food and money.
Not only Nandhana Palace but any restaurant for that matter should have a kids meal in their menu list. This will only encourage more parents with kids to visit the restaurant.
